Wye

A triangular arrangement of railway tracks used to turn a locomotive or an entire train around, or to connect two different rail lines. It consists of three track segments forming a 'Y' shape, allowing trains to reverse direction without a turntable. Wyes are common at junctions, terminals, and industrial sidings.
