Yarn-beam

A large, cylindrical spool onto which hundreds or thousands of individual yarns, known as ends, are wound in parallel alignment. This prepared beam is a primary component in weaving and warp knitting, where it is mounted onto a loom or knitting machine to supply the warp threads. The process of winding the beam, called beaming or warping, requires precise tension control for uniform fabric quality.
