Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005127
A large, flanged cylinder used in sectional warping to wind yarn segments before they are combined onto a final loom beam. Each section beam holds a specific portion of the total number of warp ends required for a fabric design. The width of the wound yarn on the section beam corresponds to a fraction of the total fabric width, with multiple sections being assembled side-by-side to create the full warp.
