Superbulky

A classification for very thick yarn used in knitting and crochet, heavier than bulky weight yarn. This yarn knits up quickly on large needles, producing a thick, heavy fabric with prominent stitch definition. According to the Craft Yarn Council's standard yarn weight system, super bulky is category 6, recommending knitting needle sizes of 8 mm (US 11) or larger.
