Laceweight

A very fine category of yarn used for creating delicate, openwork fabrics like shawls and doilies. This yarn produces a lightweight, airy material with excellent drape. Under the Craft Yarn Council's standard weight system, laceweight is designated as category 0 and is finer than fingering weight yarn, with a wraps-per-inch (WPI) count typically exceeding 35.
