CVT

A continuously variable transmission, an automatic transmission that can change through an infinite number of effective gear ratios between maximum and minimum values. This system uses two pulleys and a belt or chain to provide smooth acceleration without the distinct shifts found in traditional automatic transmissions. CVTs are often found in smaller cars and scooters for fuel efficiency.
