Drive stick
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001867
To operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission, requiring the driver to manually select gears using a gear lever and a clutch pedal. This contrasts with automatic transmissions, which shift gears without driver intervention. Driving stick provides more direct control over the engine's power delivery and can offer better fuel economy in some conditions.
