Factory setting
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002149
The original, pre-configured state of a hardware device or software program as it was set by the manufacturer before shipment. These default parameters provide a baseline for operation and allow the device to function out of the box. A 'factory reset' option is typically available to revert the device to these original settings, erasing any user-made changes.
