Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002263
The point at which a cementitious material, such as concrete or mortar, has hardened sufficiently to resist indentation and support light loads, marking the end of its plastic state. This time is determined by standardized tests, such as the Vicat needle test for cement, and indicates when formwork can potentially be removed or subsequent construction activities can begin.
