Formwork

A temporary or permanent mold into which concrete or similar materials are poured to create a desired structural shape. It supports the wet concrete until it has cured sufficiently to support itself. Formwork systems are engineered to withstand the hydrostatic pressure of the wet concrete and any construction loads, with materials including timber, steel, aluminum, and engineered plastics.
