Jumpform
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003148
A climbing formwork system for tall vertical concrete structures such as core walls, piers, and towers, in which the forms and working platform are raised in stages after each concrete lift has gained enough strength. A crane or hydraulic jacks lift the assembly to the next level, where it is anchored to the wall just cast. Unlike slipform, which moves continuously during the pour, jumpform advances in discrete lifts, commonly one storey high.
