Forward echo
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002415
A reflected signal that travels in the same direction as the original transmitted pulse within a transmission line or waveguide. This phenomenon occurs when an impedance mismatch causes a portion of the signal to bounce back towards the source, but then reflect again at another discontinuity, propagating forward. It can interfere with the primary signal and is often measured in decibels relative to the main signal.
