Powerwash

To perform a factory reset on a device, erasing all user data, applications, and configuration settings to restore it to its original state. This procedure is used to resolve persistent software issues, remove sensitive data before decommissioning a unit, or prepare a device for a clean software installation. On some industrial controllers and human-machine interfaces, this function is initiated through a specific boot-up sequence or a maintenance menu.
