Fascine

A bundle of brushwood, branches, or other long, slender materials, tightly bound together. These bundles are used in civil engineering and construction for erosion control, to stabilize embankments, or to build temporary roads over soft ground. Fascines can be laid in trenches or stacked to form revetments, providing a flexible and permeable barrier against water flow.
