Frame rail

A primary structural component of a vehicle's chassis, forming the main longitudinal members that support the body, engine, and suspension. These heavy-gauge steel beams run the length of the vehicle, providing rigidity and crash protection. In body-on-frame construction, the frame rails are distinct from the vehicle's body.
