A vehicle construction method where the body and chassis are integrated into a single, structural unit, rather than being separate components. This design contributes to lighter weight and increased rigidity compared to traditional body-on-frame construction. Most modern passenger cars and light-duty trucks employ unibody construction for improved handling and crash safety.
