The loaded vehicle weight, representing the actual weight of a vehicle at any given time, including its base curb weight plus the weight of all occupants, cargo, and optional equipment. This value is distinct from the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), which is the maximum operating weight a vehicle is designed to carry. LVW is used in emissions testing procedures and influences real-world fuel economy and braking performance.
