Germinate

To begin to grow or sprout from a seed, spore, or bulb, initiating the plant life cycle. This process is triggered by a combination of specific environmental conditions, including adequate moisture, temperature, oxygen, and sometimes light. The first visible sign of germination is the emergence of the radicle, or embryonic root, which breaks through the seed coat to anchor the seedling and absorb water.
