Outplant

To transplant a seedling or young plant from a nursery or protected environment into its permanent growing location in a field, garden, or forest. This process typically occurs after the plant has developed sufficient root structure and has been hardened off to withstand outdoor conditions. Successful outplanting requires careful handling to minimize transplant shock.
