Height to paper

The standard height of printing elements, such as metal type, wood type, and printing plates, required to make a proper impression on paper. This measurement is taken from the base of the element to its printing surface. In the United States and the United Kingdom, the standard type high measurement is 0.918 inches (23.3 millimeters), though other standards exist in different countries.
