Hub-and-spoke

A distribution model where goods or passengers are routed through a central facility, known as the hub, before being transported to their final destinations, the spokes. This system consolidates shipments at the hub, allowing for more efficient long-haul transportation. Airlines and parcel delivery services frequently employ a hub-and-spoke network.
