Kangaroo route
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003152
The air transport corridor linking Australia to London, England, through the Eastern Hemisphere. The name reflects the multiple stops, or 'hops', historically required to complete the long-haul journey, similar to a kangaroo's movement. While traditionally involving at least one stopover in locations such as Singapore or Dubai, some airlines now operate non-stop flights over this path, covering distances over 17,000 kilometers.
