A class of steam locomotives designed by Sir Nigel Gresley for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) in the United Kingdom. These powerful 4-6-2 'Pacific' type locomotives were primarily used for express passenger services, including the famous 'Flying Scotsman' route.
