The common name for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway's Class 5XP 4-6-0 passenger steam locomotives, designed by William Stanier. The first of the class, number 5552, was named 'Silver Jubilee' in 1935, and the name was subsequently applied to the entire class of 191 locomotives. These engines were known for their work on express passenger services across the LMS network.
