A class of 4-6-0 steam locomotives designed by George Jackson Churchward for the Great Western Railway (GWR). Introduced in 1902, these engines were revolutionary for their time, incorporating advanced features like long-travel valves and a high-pressure boiler that influenced subsequent British locomotive design. A total of 77 locomotives of the Saint class were built at the GWR's Swindon Works between 1902 and 1913.
