King

The name given to the Great Western Railway's 6000 Class, a series of 4-6-0 express passenger steam locomotives. Designed by Charles Collett and built between 1927 and 1930, they were the largest and most powerful passenger locomotives on the GWR. The first engine was named 'King George V', and the name 'King' was applied to the entire class of thirty locomotives.
