A fuel blend consisting of 15% methanol and 85% unleaded gasoline, along with corrosion inhibitors. Developed as an alternative fuel, it was tested in vehicle fleets during the 1980s and 1990s but never achieved widespread commercial adoption for public use. M15 is distinct from M85 (85% methanol) and E15 (15% ethanol), other alternative fuel formulations with different chemical properties and engine compatibility requirements.
