Port Fuel Injection, an engine fuel delivery system where fuel injectors spray fuel into the intake ports, just upstream of the intake valves. The fuel mixes with air before entering the combustion chamber. This method provides precise fuel metering and is a common design in many gasoline internal combustion engines.
