No-go
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003913
The part of a limit gauge used in quality control to check if a workpiece dimension exceeds its maximum tolerance limit. If the no-go end of the gauge fits into or over the feature being measured, the part is oversized and fails the inspection. This binary inspection method provides a quick pass or fail result without giving a specific measurement, contrasting with the 'go' gauge which checks the minimum material condition.
