Offtake

The agreement or process by which a buyer commits to purchasing a specified quantity of a commodity, such as minerals, oil, or gas, from a producer over a set period. This arrangement provides revenue certainty for the producer and supply security for the buyer. Offtake agreements often include pricing mechanisms tied to market indices or fixed rates.
