Power dive
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004456
A flight maneuver where an aircraft descends rapidly at a steep angle, often with engine power applied, resulting in a rapid increase in airspeed. This maneuver is used in aerobatics or, historically, in combat to gain speed quickly or escape an adversary. Pilots must carefully manage airspeed and structural loads to avoid exceeding the aircraft's design limits during such a descent.
