Process tomography
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004520
A non-invasive imaging technique used to visualize the internal distribution of materials within industrial processes, such as pipelines, reactors, or mixers. It employs sensors and reconstruction algorithms to create cross-sectional images of flow regimes, component concentrations, or phase distributions. Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) and electrical resistance tomography (ERT) are common methods.
