Describing a printing technique that achieves halftone effects without the use of a conventional halftone screen, instead relying on stochastic or frequency modulated (FM) screening. This method uses randomly placed dots of varying sizes to create tonal gradations, eliminating moiré patterns and improving detail. Screenless printing often results in a smoother, more photographic appearance.
