Screw theory
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005095
A mathematical framework for analyzing rigid body motion and forces in three-dimensional space, representing them as screws. A screw is a vector that combines a rotation and a translation along the same axis. This theory finds application in robotics, mechanism design, and the analysis of spatial linkages.
