Self-striping

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005152

Describing yarn that is dyed in a sequence of colors designed to create stripes or other patterns automatically as it is knitted or crocheted. The length of each color segment in the yarn determines the width of the resulting stripes in the finished fabric. This eliminates the need for changing yarn colors manually to achieve a striped effect.
