Skidding

The process of moving felled trees or logs from the stump to a landing or roadside using specialized equipment such as skidders, tractors, or draft animals. This method of timber extraction is common in forestry operations. Skidding can be performed by dragging logs directly on the ground or by lifting one end to reduce friction.
