Squabble

A condition in letterpress printing where type characters or blocks become disarranged or fall out of their proper position within the printing form. This often occurs due to insufficient locking up of the form or vibrations during the printing process. A squabble necessitates stopping the press to re-set the affected elements, causing production delays.
