Standby time

The continuous duration for which a battery-powered device, such as a mobile phone or laptop, can remain switched on and connected to a network without being actively used before its battery is depleted. This measurement reflects the device's power consumption in an idle state, where the screen is off but background processes are running. Manufacturers specify this time in hours or days based on tests under controlled conditions.
