Tackifier

A chemical additive incorporated into an adhesive formulation to increase its tack, which is the ability to form an immediate bond with a surface under light pressure. These resins enhance the adhesive's stickiness and wetting properties, improving initial adhesion. Tackifiers are commonly used in pressure-sensitive adhesives for tapes and labels.
