Time-division duplexing, a method for transmitting and receiving signals over the same frequency channel by allocating different time slots for each direction. This allows for flexible allocation of bandwidth between uplink and downlink traffic based on demand. TDD is commonly employed in cellular communication systems like LTE and 5G.
