Viaduct

A long, elevated bridge-like structure built to carry a road or railway across a valley, gorge, or other low-lying area. It consists of a number of short spans, supported by a series of tall columns or piers, which distinguishes it from a single-span bridge crossing a river. The Millau Viaduct in France, with a structural height of 336.4 meters, is the world's tallest bridge.
