Wet lease

An agreement where one airline provides an aircraft, complete with crew, maintenance, and insurance, to another airline for a specified period. The lessor airline maintains operational control and responsibility for the aircraft. This type of lease is often used to cover peak demand or when an airline's own aircraft are undergoing maintenance.
