"Add-on" no-fault laws

Automobile insurance statutes that require insurers to offer or provide personal injury protection (PIP) benefits to accident victims, regardless of fault, while still allowing the injured party to sue the at-fault driver for damages. These laws supplement the traditional tort liability system. States with add-on no-fault laws include Delaware and Maryland.
