Additional named insured

An individual or entity explicitly listed on the declarations page of an insurance policy, alongside the primary named insured, and afforded the full rights and responsibilities of a named insured. This differs from an additional insured, who typically receives more limited coverage. An additional named insured has the same policy rights and obligations as the original named insured.
