Named perils coverage (NP)
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002267
An insurance policy structure where coverage is provided only for losses caused by risks specifically listed in the policy document. If a peril is not explicitly named, any damage or loss resulting from it is not covered. This contrasts with 'all-risk' or 'open perils' coverage, which covers all risks except those specifically excluded.
