Specified causes of loss coverage

Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003137

A type of property insurance coverage that only protects against losses caused by a list of explicitly named perils. If a loss occurs due to a cause not on this list, it is not covered. This is in contrast to 'open perils' or 'all risks' coverage, which covers all perils except those specifically excluded.
