Individuals or entities that are granted insured status under an insurance policy without being specifically named in the policy declarations. Their coverage is contingent upon meeting certain criteria or having a specific relationship with the named insured, as defined within the policy language. Examples include newly acquired subsidiaries or employees of the named insured.
