A single, unexpected, and uninterrupted event that results in injury or damage to multiple persons or properties. In liability and workers' compensation insurance, all injuries and damages arising from one such event are considered part of a single occurrence. This distinction determines how policy limits, deductibles, and per-occurrence caps are applied to the resulting claims.
