Corporate reimbursement coverage

A component of a directors and officers (D&O) liability insurance policy that indemnifies the corporation for payments it makes to its directors and officers. This coverage applies when the corporation is legally obligated or permitted by its bylaws to reimburse its executives for defense costs and judgments or settlements arising from covered claims. It typically forms one of the insuring agreements within a D&O policy, alongside direct coverage for individual directors and officers.
