Coverage territory

The geographical area specified in an insurance policy where covered losses or liabilities will be honored. This defines the boundaries within which the policy's protection is active. For many commercial general liability policies, the coverage territory includes the United States, its territories and possessions, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
